It is a real challenging to grow a single plant, since it needs nutrients, water, air and a right soil or a good potting mix. It goes without saying that nowadays more and more brands propose their own mixes but I think there is no use to buy them since homemade mixes produce excellent results, and it is so interesting to make them.

All-Purpose Garden Mix

What is more you have an opportunity to control the quality and thus you will know for sure that your mix is the best possible. I recommend you to try the following recipe of all-purpose potting mix.

You will need:

  • 8 quarts potting soil with vermiculite or perlite
  • 1 quart coarse sand
  • 4 quarts sphagnum peat moss, compost, and/or rotted manure

Mix everything and hurray – your mixture is ready.

Outdoor Living: Cedar Pergola
by Bill from Outdoor Living Furniture
Pergolas are a great and easy way to drastically change the look of your yard or patio. I have seen many that have even been placed directly next to a back door and completely redirected the focal point of the Outdoor Living Furniture area. Nice show case!
