  • Be very careful and be attentive to cover all wind-sensitive evergreens. Such shrubs as yews, dwarf Alberta (white) spruce, rhododendrons or azaleas need your protection as well. Cover them with dust or bark. If snow covers more than just a few centimetres – be very lavish while protecting your plants;
  • If there are roses in your garden, insulate them with topsoil;
  • Make natural compost. Put all the remnants of your plants in one bin … and let them have some rest. For example, till the spring.

Outdoor Living: Cedar Pergola
by Bill from Outdoor Living Furniture
Pergolas are a great and easy way to drastically change the look of your yard or patio. I have seen many that have even been placed directly next to a back door and completely redirected the focal point of the Outdoor Living Furniture area. Nice show case!
