Growing tips

Despite numerous rumors and ideas that potted plants are very healthy and completely easy to care for, that’s not true – these plants are even more vulnerable that any outdoor one. These tips will help you keep potted plants healthy.

  • Choose the right pots

A pot should be not only beautiful but highly functional – make sure there are holes in the bottom of your container and it is big enough your plant to grow freely in it.

Potted

  • Choose the potting mix

Never use usual soil from the yard or garden, it can be filled with seeds, bacteria, insects, and fungal diseases. Buy potting soil at specialized garden centers.

  • Right plant, right place

This phrase should be your motto. Believe it will be absolutely stupid to grow a flower like a rose (it requires six hours of full sun) in a dark room.

  • Watering

Be very attentive to this particular process and carefully either read the instructions how and when to water or ask a specialist. You can not only spoil but even kill your plant with improper watering.

  • Feeding

Be ready to feed your plants, because the potted ones need more fertilizing than those in the ground.

  • Deadheading

De attentive to your plants and always help them to get rid of dead leaves, and faded blooms.

Love your plants and they will love you in return!

Outdoor Living: Cedar Pergola
by Bill from Outdoor Living Furniture
Pergolas are a great and easy way to drastically change the look of your yard or patio. I have seen many that have even been placed directly next to a back door and completely redirected the focal point of the Outdoor Living Furniture area. Nice show case!
