<p>If you still feel like letting your dahlias spending winter in garden, think of protecting them as great as possible. Heap a 15cm (6in) layer of mulch on top of them.
<p>As a rule these plants are carefully dig out the ground with a spade. Dahlia tubers should be dry and extremely clean, since any moisture or mud can make plants rot.
<p>Cover your dahlias with potting compost and store them in a cool, frost-free place until spring.  </p>
