Water and watering

Frankly speaking I can’t even understand why most gardeners have never thought of collecting rainwater for needs of their gardens? This idea has pure advantages, would you like to find more about them?

Rain barrel

Technology of storing water in rain barrels is as old as the hills and most gardeners will name it even old-fashioned but I guess there is no use to discuss fashion issues when the world is suffering from financial crisis.

Saving water in rain barrels is not only a cheap way of taking caring of your plants but it makes good sense for your environment. Rain water can be extremely valuable to your plants since it doesn’t contain any chemicals.

You can think that containing this water is a long and complicated process, however according to the recent data most gardeners can save approximately  1,300 gallons of water during the hot summer months.

There is no use to buy expensive equipment, you can take a simple water-tight container and place it at the bottom of your wastepipe.
